UPMC Physician Authors Fiction Book

night-in-the-lifeUPMC physician and author Steven L. Orebaugh donated a copy of his fiction book, “A Night in the Life,” to the HSLS Leisure Reading Collection. This gritty, fast-paced book is based on his real life experiences working in the emergency department of a community hospital located in Pittsburgh.

The Leisure Reading Collection is located at the rear of the main floor of Falk Library in the comfortable seating area.

Affiliated Authors Encouraged to Donate

HSLS is proud of books authored or edited by Pitt health sciences faculty and UPMC clinicians, especially when we can make those books available in our collections. We encourage affiliated authors and editors to donate print copies of their books—whether nonfiction or fiction, as long as they are relevant to health sciences—to the library. We also welcome gifts to support the purchase of electronic copies of their books. If you would like to donate a print copy of your book, please contact Jeff Husted at jthusted@pitt.edu. If you would like to make a gift to the library, please contact the HSLS Director’s Office at 412-648-2036.
