Register for Managing Your Scholars@Pitt Profile*

Scholars@Pitt is the University’s research information management system, containing profiles of scholars for internal and external uses such as departmental reports, finding collaborators, and publicly showcasing academic achievements and scholarly works. If you’re faculty or research staff, you have a profile!

This hands-on working session will guide you through the key steps to edit your profile and set up automatic claiming of publications to reduce your time and effort. Time will be allocated throughout the session for specific questions about your own profile.

(Note: Scholars@Pitt was formerly known as the Faculty Information System. Like its predecessor, Scholars@Pitt is powered by Sympletic Elements.)

Upon completing this class, you should be able to:

  • Explain what data is being automatically populated into your profile.
  • Add external profile IDs so that publications can automatically be attributed to you.
  • Change your profile privacy settings.
  • Add a delegate to help you manage your profile.
  • Edit the labels used to describe your research.

Level: Novice
