Register for this virtual workshop*
Research data management is the process in which reusable quality research data is created, organized, documented, and made accessible. Managing your research data helps to prevent errors, increases the quality of your analyses, and saves time and resources in the long run.
Attendees of this workshop will learn the fundamentals of keeping data secure and organized through brief introductions to the core areas of data management: file storage and organization; file documentation; data preservation; and data publication and/or data sharing.
This class is intended for graduate students and researchers working on long-term research projects, or for anyone who wants to ensure their files are safe for long-term storage.
If you are unable to attend, this scheduled session can also be repeated on request. Request a customized session of “Introduction to Research Data Management” and other HSLS workshops for your course, group, or department.

*HSLS classes are open to University of Pittsburgh faculty, staff, and students, as well as UPMC residents and fellows. A valid email address is required to register.
