Nelson Galloway, administrative specialist, has transferred to the Director’s Office. He previously worked in HSLS Technical Services and, before that, in WPIC Library. His new responsibilities include serving as facilities and asset manager, and assistance with general administrative duties.

On Thursday, June 25, HSLS staff members joined with other community volunteers to help with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s mass food distribution project in Duquesne.

Farewell

Mary Jo Dorsey, reference librarian, is leaving to pursue a National Library of Medicine post-doctoral fellowship in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dorsey joined HSLS in 2008.

Daniel Higgins, circulation specialist, is leaving to pursue a law degree at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Higgins joined HSLS in 2004.
