To start off the spring 2025 academic semester, HSLS has added four journals to its collection from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP):
Recognized for its trusted and award-winning content, AAP is the largest pediatric association in the United States. The organization publishes information across a broad range of pediatric topics in the form of academic journals, books, and other resources.
The four journals offer HSLS users access to pediatric literature reviews, official news from the Academy, hospital pediatrics sub-specialty content, and neonatal-perinatal medicine reviews, respectively.
AAP Grand Rounds offers readers sub-specialty literature reviews ranging from but not limited to: adolescent medicine, gastroenterology, nephrology, and rheumatology. Over 100 academic journals are consulted in its comprehensive summaries.
AAP News covers the Academy’s guidance on pediatric policy, coding updates, specialty trends, infectious disease snapshots, and more.
Hospital Pediatrics is a peer-reviewed academic journal with a focus on pediatrics in the hospital setting. Not only is the journal focused on pediatric-targeted emergency care, its scope also includes quality improvement, reduction of unnecessary testing, and the standardization of administrative practice.
NeoReviews gives readers an immersive experience of clinical review for neonatal-perinatal medicine. Traditional literature review and case studies combine with visual features including a video library and the new NeoVisuals neonate image library. Professional education is also highlighted in the journal with CME quizzes.
These new subscriptions join HSLS’s other AAP journals Pediatrics and Pediatrics in Review, along with the Red Book®, a crucial, continually updated report of the AAP’s Committee on Infectious Diseases.
