Welcome

Jennifer Jones, MPH, joined HSLS on May 8 as the Executive Director of the All of Us Research Program Training and Education Center. Jen received her MPH from the Pitt Graduate School of Public Health, and earned a BS from Juniata College. She has worked at the University for 7 years. Prior to joining HSLS she was the Community Engagement Senior Coordinator at the Pitt Clinical & Translational Science Institute.

Elaina Vitale, NNLM MAR Academic Coordinator, presented “Collaboration and Innovation: NNLM’s Nationwide Online Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon” at the National Information Standards Organization (NISO) Virtual Conference on Open Data Projects on June 13, 2018, and at the National Federation of Advanced Information Services (NFAIS) virtual workshop, Wikipedia: Its Impact on Research and Medical Discovery, on June 27, 2018.

Other Activities

John Erlen, History of Medicine Librarian, was co-chair of the Local Arrangements Committee for the 48th Annual American Osler Society Meeting in Pittsburgh, PA, from May 13-16, 2018.

Farewell

Mary Lou Librecht, Main Desk Assistant, retired on Friday, June 1, after working at the Presbyterian Hospital Library and the Falk Library for 48 years.
