Barbara Epstein, HSLS Director, presented “Publishing Ethics for Academics: Walking the Tightrope” as part of a panel discussion titled “Publication Ethics: Today’s Challenges of Navigating and Combatting Questionable Practices, at the Charleston Conference in Charleston, SC, on November 10, 2017.

As president of the Medical Library Association, Barbara Epstein presented “What’s New in MLA” at regional MLA chapter meetings in Albuquerque, NM, Boston, MA, Stanton, VA, and Syracuse, NY, in October 2017.

Kate Flewelling, Executive Director, NNLM Middle Atlantic Region, presented “Health Statistics on the Web” and “Activate, Collaborate, and Educate: Health Outreach and Programming in Your Community” to the Health Sciences Library Association of New Jersey, Princeton, NJ, on December 1, 2017; and presented “The National Library of Medicine and the National Network of Libraries of Medicine: Your Partners in Health Information Outreach” as part of a plenary panel at the NJ Statewide Network for Cultural Competence 2017 Annual Conference, East Windsor, NJ, on December 5, 2017.

NNLM Middle Atlantic Region Executive Director Kate Flewelling and Health Professions Coordinator Erin Seger presented “PubMed and Beyond: Clinical Resources from the National Library of Medicine” at the Ohio Health Sciences Library Association annual meeting, in Lancaster, OH, on November 17, 2017.
