Congratulations to HSLS and NN/LM MAR Director Barbara Epstein who was elected President-Elect of the Medical Library Association. She will assume the position at the conclusion of the association’s annual meeting in May.
Melissa Ratajeski has been appointed to the position of Coordinator of Data Management Services. She will continue to serve as reference librarian and IACUC liaison.

Mary Lou Klem, reference librarian, and Charles B. Wessel, head of research and reference initiatives, presented a webinar called “A Systematic Method for Selecting Search Terms” for the Saskatchewan Health Libraries Association, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, on December 4.

Congratulations to three HSLS staff member who were honored for milestone anniversaries as University of Pittsburgh employees: Dave Leung (20 years), Tristan Lucchetti (10 years), and Rhoda Ludin (10 years). HSLS’s Lead Systems Analyst Leung keeps the wide variety of the library’s digital technology secure and accessible. Business Manager Lucchetti oversees and manages the financial, human resource, and administrative aspects of HSLS and the NN/LM Middle Atlantic Region. Ludin, administrative specialist in the Director’s Office, ensures that the needs of the library and staff are met.
