Register for Gene Expression Visualization using Partek Flow

This hands-on workshop introduces participants to the analysis and visualization of gene expression data, with a focus on Bulk RNA-Seq dataset starting from a count matrix. The session utilizes the HSLS-licensed Partek Flow software, a user-friendly, point-and-click platform designed to streamline next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis for researchers at all experience levels.

This workshop is ideal for experimental biologists seeking to learn how to visualize the data generated through experiments or retrieved from a publication or a repository such as GEO. The software covered in the workshop operates through a user-friendly, point-and-click graphical user interface, so neither computer programming experience nor familiarity with the command-line interface is required.

Upon completing this class, you should be able to:
  • import RNA-Seq count matrix data into Partek Flow and check the quality of the data
  • filter and normalize the data
  • identify the differentially expression genes
  • generate publication-quality graphics such as PCA, volcano plots, heat maps, and Venn diagrams
  • analyze functionally enriched terms such as GO term associations and pathways
Level: Novice
Prerequisites: Registrants should already be able to describe basic bulk RNA-Seq analysis.
Recording status: This class will be recorded for HSLS use only. Recordings will not be shared with registrants or attendees.
Class Materials: Class materials will be shared with attendees.
