Introducing the ENACT Enclave Challenge

Tap into a nationwide EHR data resource powered by dozens of universities and research institutions—with access to over 140 million electronic health records—through the ENACT Enclave Challenge.

Have a research project that could benefit from studying this kind of real-world data in a secure, collaborative environment? The ENACT Enclave Challenge is your chance to empower your research with next-level analytics in an ephemeral, project-specific workspace built for researchers by researchers. This spring, we’re opening the ENACT Enclave environment to new projects—and covering the cost for three selected teams.

What do you stand to gain?

  • Access to a secure, project-specific ENACT Enclave for analyzing a limited EHR dataset drawn from a national multi-institutional network.
  • Set up, storage, and analytic tool costs covered—removing financial barriers to groundbreaking work.
  • A streamlined application process designed to get your project up and running quickly.

How to Apply

Submit a brief Letter of Intent (LOI) by May 31. There’s no complicated proposal—just give us a clear sense of your project and how it aligns with ENACT.

Your LOI should include:

  • A concise research question or hypothesis
  • Whether you’ve performed any ENACT feasibility queries (and if so, what you found)
  • Estimated number of patients or records required for analysis
  • Tools or analytic packages you plan to use
  • Any additional data access needs, anticipated collaborators, or timelines that would help us assess readiness and impact

Submissions will be evaluated by a multidisciplinary review team based on scientific merit, feasibility, and fit for the ENACT infrastructure.

Use ENACT to empower your research with real-world EHR data—securely, collaboratively, and at no cost to you.
