CLC Genomics Workbench, from CLC bio/Qiagen, is cross platform software used for analyzing and visualizing next generation sequencing (NGS) data. Robert Mervis, Senior Field Application Scientist, will provide two days of training on Tuesday & Wednesday, October 7 & 8 in Falk Library, Classroom 2.
Please register for any or all of these sessions.
Day 1 will be from 9:30am-4pm, with a 1-hour lunch break at noon. This hands-on session will be an introduction to CLC Genomics Workbench and covers basic navigation and file handling, working with tracks, working with NGS sample data, de novo assembly, read mapping and alignment, variant detection, batch jobs, and workflow automation.
Day 2 will cover RNA sequencing basics and digital gene expression analysis in the morning session. The afternoon session will cover whole exome sequencing and variant detection. Both sessions will be demonstration only due to large data sets.
