CMU Collaborative Bioinformatics Hackathon, Apply by February 15

CMU Libraries is hosting a collaborative hackathon in partnership with DNAnexus on the topic of machine learning and AI approaches to multimodal problems in computational biology. The hackathon will be held in person at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh on March 3-5 with the option of virtual participation for international folks.

AAAS Survey on CC-BY

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is surveying researchers about their experiences with and views of CC-BY licenses. They are particularly interested in the downstream uses of work published under an open license. The survey is an important opportunity to capture the benefits of open licenses and will provide insight into gaps in author understanding as well as any concerns about the licenses.
