This Web site provides practical, easy-to-use guides that are designed to help you locate information on health statistics, drug information, conference proceedings, and library statistics.<\/p>\n<p>For example, the \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nlm.nih.gov\/services\/Subject_Guides\/healthstatistics\/\" target=\"_blank\">Health Statistics and Numerical Data<\/a>\u201d guide includes major sources of health and general statistics in the U.S., as well as some international resources. The scope of each guide is listed on its home page, so there\u2019s no guessing as to what type of information is included in the guide.<\/p>\n<p>In this guide, you\u2019ll find:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><a href=\"http:\/\/pitt.idm.oclc.org\/login?url=http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/sites\/entrez?myncbishare=upittlib&amp;otool=upittlib\" target=\"_blank\">PubMed<\/a><\/em> medical subject headings (MeSH) that are useful in searching for statistics. MeSH include biostatistics, epidemiology, and vital statistics, among others.<\/li>\n<li>Organizations and agencies that compile statistics. Among the many resources listed is <a href=\"http:\/\/fedstats.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">FEDSTATS<\/a>. FEDSTATS is an online portal that provides access to all types of statistics from more than 100 agencies.
