Information was current at time of publication.{"id":2654,"date":"2009-09-25T08:31:46","date_gmt":"2009-09-25T13:31:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hsls.pitt.edu\/updatereport\/?p=2654"},"modified":"2009-09-25T08:31:46","modified_gmt":"2009-09-25T13:31:46","slug":"d-scholarshippitt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/info.hsls.pitt.edu\/updatereport\/d-scholarshippitt\/","title":{"rendered":"D-Scholarship@Pitt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2701 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/info.hsls.pitt.edu\/updatereport\/files\/2009\/09\/D-Scholar1.jpg\" alt=\"D-Scholar\" width=\"185\" height=\"42\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/d-scholarship.pitt.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">D-Scholarship@Pitt<\/a> is an institutional repository for the research output of the University of Pittsburgh.\u00a0 It provides stable, long-term storage and ongoing maintenance for its content, even after authors have left the university.\u00a0 Examples of scholarly research materials that can be submitted include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Conference papers and presentations<\/li>\n<li>Research data<\/li>\n<li>Electronic theses and dissertations<\/li>\n<li>Research papers, published or unpublished (Note: copyright agreements for published materials must permit posting in a public Open Access repository.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Materials are submitted directly by authors with an active University of Pittsburgh Computer Account.<\/p>\n<p>The repository is designed to increase discovery of research by Pitt faculty and staff by allowing indexing by Google and other major Internet search engines, the Pennsylvania Digital Library, and PITTCat+.\u00a0 D-Scholarship@Pitt is based on Open Access principles; all materials in the repository are freely accessible by the global research community.\u00a0 Content may be browsed by year, school, research organization or document type.<\/p>\n<p>NIH-funded researchers should note, however, that submission of articles to D-Scholarship@Pitt, does NOT satisfy the NIH public access mandate.\u00a0 All peer-reviewed journal articles arising from NIH-funded research must be submitted to PubMed Central, regardless of whether they are also submitted to Pitt\u2019s repository.
