We have digitized items from our rare books and special collections so that you can access some of our holdings without needing to physically visit the library.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Over ten exhibits\/collections are currently available to explore, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A full-text scan of an issue of <a href=\"https:\/\/dec.hsls.pitt.edu\/s\/home\/item\/3569\/uv#?xywh=-3157%2C-222%2C9031%2C4424\"><em>West Penn Clinic<\/em><\/a>, a Pittsburgh medical journal, from 1895.<\/li>\n<li>Video excerpts from <a href=\"https:\/\/dec.hsls.pitt.edu\/s\/scope-and-scalpel\/page\/introduction\"><em>Scope and Scalpel<\/em><\/a>, a musical that has been written and performed by Pitt Med\u2019s graduating class each year since 1955.<\/li>\n<li>An exhibit depicting what life was like for the average <a href=\"https:\/\/dec.hsls.pitt.edu\/s\/blast-from-the-past\/page\/introduction\">Pittsburgh medical student in the 1890s<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Images of 18<sup>th<\/sup>&#8211; and 19<sup>th<\/sup>-century <a href=\"https:\/\/dec.hsls.pitt.edu\/s\/artifacts\/page\/about\">medical instruments<\/a>, including an <a href=\"https:\/\/dec.hsls.pitt.edu\/s\/artifacts\/item\/3202\">amputation surgical set<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you\u2019re interested in learning more about a particular collection or item you see on the website, please <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsls.pitt.edu\/history-of-medicine-contact\">contact HSLS History of Medicine<\/a>.
