Our goal in offering instruction is to help you (or your students) to be a more efficient, effective researcher \u2013 and this includes getting grants, analyzing your data, publishing papers about your research, and more. Whether you are staff, faculty, postdoc, resident, fellow, or student, read on to learn about what HSLS can teach you how to do.<\/p>\n<p>We offer instruction covering a range of categories, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Citation Management:<\/strong>\u00a0Determine which citation manager is best for you and then dive in with basic and advanced EndNote and Zotero classes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Data Science:<\/strong> Organize, use, share, and increase the reproducibility of your research data or code, or learn about using R and Python in data analysis.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Finding Literature &amp; Data:<\/strong> Augment your skills to effectively search databases to find the papers or data you need to support your work.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Information Literacy:<\/strong> Explore strategies for knowing what information you should trust and for combating misinformation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Molecular Biology:<\/strong> Learn how to use databases and software tools for your molecular biology and bioinformatics research projects.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Scholarly Publishing &amp; Communication:<\/strong>\u00a0Navigate the publishing process and highlight the impact of your research.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Visualization &amp; Design:<\/strong> Use simple tools to design reports, flyers, and infographics and to create scientific figures.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Research Methods:<\/strong> Get an overview of systematic reviews or learn about study methodology assessment.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Other Topics: <\/strong>Explore other topics such as peer review skills, the NIH Policy on Data Management and Sharing, and the <em>All of Us<\/em> Researcher Workbench.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>So, you\u2019re excited to learn from HSLS now, right? Browse the topics and see what strikes your interest \u2013 and then click on the topic to see what options we\u2019re currently offering. Here you\u2019ll find a mix of:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>HSLS Live Classes <\/strong>\u2013 offered mainly on Zoom but sometimes in person.<\/li>\n<li><strong>HSLS Self-Paced Learning Modules <\/strong>\u2013 learning experiences built online in Canvas so that you can learn from us anytime, anywhere, at your own pace.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Third-Party Learning Links <\/strong>\u2013 HSLS recommendations for other learning options offered by those outside HSLS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Option 2:<\/strong> Want to see what we\u2019re offering live this week\/month\/term?
