No problem! You can access HSLS resources remotely with Pitt Passport, the University\u2019s single sign-on service.<\/p>\n<h3>Pitt Passport<\/h3>\n<p>Remote access for library resources requires a valid Pitt username and password, <em>plus a second method of verification<\/em> through an app or phone line. This is called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technology.pitt.edu\/services\/multifactor-authentication-pitt\">multifactor authentication<\/a>, which can be done in three steps. If you have problems setting up multifactor authentication, contact the Pitt IT Help Desk at 412-624-4357. To do this, direct your browser to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsls.pitt.edu\/\">HSLS website<\/a> and click on the desired resource. You\u2019ll be redirected to the Pitt Passport login page. Log in with your valid Pitt username and password. Once you are logged in, you will be able to access HSLS resources in your browser as if you were working on-site. If you are able to log in to remote access but are having trouble accessing an HSLS resource, please send an email to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsls.pitt.edu\/ask-a-librarian\">HSLS Ask a Librarian<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Reload via HSLS<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If you find that you are frequently having to log in via Pitt\u2019s remote access while working off-site, you can install the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsls.pitt.edu\/remote\">\u201cReload via HSLS\u201d boomarklet<\/a> link in your browser for even faster access to HSLS resources. When you click on the bookmarklet link, you will be prompted to log in to Pitt remote access, and then will instantly be rerouted back to the now fully available article or resource. Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsls.pitt.edu\/remote\">HSLS\u2019s Remote Access page<\/a> to view installation instructions for the \u201cReload via HSLS\u201d bookmarklet link.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13055\" src=\"https:\/\/info.hsls.pitt.edu\/updatereport\/files\/2020\/08\/ReloadviaHSLS.png\" alt=\"Reload Via HSLS bookmarklet\" width=\"171\" height=\"48\" \/><\/p>\n<p>UPMC employees can access e-journals, e-books, and databases through the <a href=\"https:\/\/upmchsdl.pitt.edu\/\">UPMC Health Sciences Digital Library<\/a>.
