The following HSLS staff members retired in the past months.\u00a0 We will miss their dedication and friendship, and we wish each of them much happiness, good health and relaxation in their retirement years.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kathy Enrietto<\/strong>, Document Delivery Assistant, began her career at HSLS in November 1999. Her job duties included filling thousands of interlibrary requests from other institutions. Kathy was very good at her job and was highly thought of among her peers in the library community. Over the years, her strong work ethic and bubbly personality made a positive impact on her colleagues. Janet Ramsey-Cover<\/strong>, Circulation Specialist, has been an employee of Falk Library\u2019s Main Desk for twenty-nine years. Janet was an outstanding detective: if a book went missing and Janet could not find it, then it was truly gone. When she started working at the library, material was manually checked out and the library looked much different than it does today. Through the years, she played an important role in many library projects, both big and small, and library visitors appreciated her pleasant personality and helpful demeanor. Mike Yaklich<\/strong>, Acquisitions Specialist, retired at the end of September after 31 years of service at Pitt, all of which he spent at HSLS. Over the years, Mike held various positions in circulation and technical services. One of Mike\u2019s earliest job duties was a daily trip to HSLS\u2019s former offsite storage space in a South Side warehouse, to retrieve books and photocopy articles for patrons. More recently, Mike\u2019s role expanded beyond acquisitions to include curating content for HSLS\u2019s Streaming Media web page. Mike also had a brief stint playing a zombie for HSLS\u2019s \u201cUndead PubMed\u201d class. Outside of HSLS, Mike is a musician and film buff, so we hope his retirement allows more time for these pursuits.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
