Executive Director, Training and Education Center, All of Us Research Program, National Library of Medicine<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The National Library of Medicine Training and Education Center (TEC)<\/a> for the All of Us <\/em>Research Program<\/a> is celebrating its first year at HSLS! The TEC is the central repository for educational content and trainings related to the program. Our goal is to leverage resources, highlight expertise, and create accessible products for a variety of target audiences, including All of Us <\/em>Research Program participants, All of Us <\/em>consortium members, researchers, health professionals, citizen scientists, and for general consumer health. The TEC uses a Team Science framework to collaborate with NLM staff and All of Us <\/em>leadership to determine priorities and best practices.<\/p>\n

Over the past year the TEC has focused on creating a solid and sustainable infrastructure, which includes operationalizing policies, procedures, and a program logic model, creating and populating an online Training and Educational Platform, creating an Expert Partners Database, determining our participant engagement strategic plan, and launching multiple SharePoint 365 project sites for internal project management and external collaboration with project stakeholders. The TEC implemented a 4-step instructional design process (consult, prototype, build, and go live) for the consistent creation, delivery, and evaluation of all TEC deliverables. All TEC products meet federal standards to be 508-compliant with language and accessibility, with an upcoming goal for all participant engagement materials to be available in Spanish.<\/p>\n

Highlights of the past year include the \u201cGo Live\u201d of our first two big projects\u2014the All of Us <\/em>Consortium Member Training launched nationwide on February 4, and the inaugural All of Us <\/em>Research Program Speakers Series launched March 14 with NIH Director Dr. Francis Collins as the featured speaker. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The TEC staff have traveled to meetings and conferences from the east coast to the west coast and have created collaborative partnerships with dozens of experts to propel our work forward for the coming grant years. We like to think of our work as a \u201cstart-up\u201d\u2014there are still many goals to accomplish and much to learn, but we have a great team and are recognized as an important part of the engagement efforts of the All of Us <\/em>Research Program.<\/p>\n
