Paper Presentations

Lydia Collins, Participant Engagement Lead, NNLM All of Us Training and Education Center, presented “National Health Observances: Content to Promote Health Information Resources and the All of Us Research Program.” Co-authors were Brittney Thomas, Elizabeth Kiscaden, Asih Asikin-Garmager, and Susan M. Wolfe.

Michele Klein-Fedyshin, Research and Clinical Instruction Librarian and Co-chair of the Ad Hoc Committee to Review Core Clinical Journals, presented “2020 Final Report from the Ad Hoc Committee to Review Core Clinical Journals” to the Hospital Library Caucus and the MLA Board.

Lightning Talks

Carrie Iwema, Coordinator of Basic Science Services, presented “Data Availability Statements: Your “in” with Researchers.” Co-author was Melissa Ratajeski, Coordinator of Data Services.

Melissa Ratajeski, Coordinator of Data Services, presented “Missing fields = misinformed: Why EndNote Customization is Crucial.” Co-author was Rebekah Miller, Research & Instruction Librarian.

Rose L. Turner, Coordinator of Liaison Services, presented “Coordinating Liaison Services: A New Role to Enhance Information Services.”

The NNLM Middle Atlantic Region (MAR) presented “Partnering with Community-Based Organizations to Provide Health Information Outreach in Public Libraries.” Presenters were Kate Flewelling, NNLM MAR Executive Director, Michael Balkenhol, NNLM MAR Health Programming Coordinator, Renae Barger, Associate Director for HSLS Research, Instruction, and Clinical Information Services, Michelle Burda, NNLM MAR Education and Health Literacy Coordinator, Kelsey Cowles, NNLM MAR Academic Coordinator, Erin Seger, NNLM MAR Health Professions Coordinator, Tess Wilson, NNLM MAR Community Engagement Coordinator, Tessa Zindren, NNLM MAR Program Manager, and Susan Wolfe.

Poster Presentations

Carrie Iwema, Coordinator of Basic Science Services, presented “Class Registrations and Evaluations: Tips for Getting Actionable Feedback.” Co-author was Rose L. Turner, Coordinator of Liaison Services.

Helenmary Sheridan, Data Services Librarian, presented “Neuroimaging Data Primer: A Resource for Curating Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) and Neuroimaging Informatics Technology Initiative (NIfTI) Files.” Co-authors were Sara Samuel, University of Michigan, Michael Moore, University of Washington Health Sciences Library, Brandon Patterson, University of Utah, and Christopher J. Sorensen, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

Other Conference Activities

Kelsey Cowles, NNLM Middle Atlantic Region Academic Coordinator, hosted ‘vendor office hours’ on the topic of LIS student engagement on August 10, 11, and 13.
