Jurgis Alvikas presented “Platelet Transfusion for Patients with Traumatic Intracranial Hemorrhage Taking Prehospital Antiplatelets: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis” at the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress 2019 in San Francisco, CA, on October 28, 2019. Co-authors include Sara P. Myers, Charles B. Wessel, Head of Research Initiatives, David O. Okonkwo, et al.

Michelle Burda, NNLM MAR Education & Health Literacy Coordinator, attended the Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Manhattan, and Bronx Health Sciences Librarians fall meeting on October 16, 2019, to update and share with NNLM members current happenings at MAR, NNLM, and NLM. Burda also presented “Striking a Chord: Creating Harmony in Patient Education” at the Health Care Education Conference in Nashville, TN, on October 23-25, 2019. Burda co-presented a program on grants and proposal writing with Dana Abbey, NNLM MidContinental Region, and was on the planning committee for this biennial national conference. Burda also exhibited at the Where to Turn Resource Fair on October 8, 2019, a bi-annual Exhibitor Fair and Lecture Series for Service Professionals at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA. Burda also promoted NNLM  services, NLM resources, and NLM programs, such as All of Us and MedlinePlus, to a group of seniors during a Lunch and Learn at the South Hills Public Library on October 30, 2019.

Melissa Ratajeski, Coordinator of Data Services, presented a Lightning Talk, “Facilitating Data Discovery through an Open-Source Data Catalog,” at OpenCon Philly 2019 in Philadelphia, PA, on November 1, 2019.
