During the class, participants will learn how to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>access Center for Research Computing (CRC) clusters via Unix\/Linux shell<\/li>\n<li>transfer files to CRC using FileZilla software<\/li>\n<li>create and manage files and directories<\/li>\n<li>edit files using vi text editor<\/li>\n<li>access CRC-installed open source bioinformatics software such as FastQC, STAR, HISAT<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once you register, you will receive access to the prerecorded video and dataset.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You can watch the recorded lecture video on your own schedule, and complete the\u00a0practice dataset\u00a0on your own. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You must have a University of Pittsburgh ID to access the video.
