The morning session (<strong>10am &#8211; 12pm<\/strong>) provides an overview of resources and search strategies on transcriptional regulation.  The afternoon session (<strong>1pm &#8211; 3pm<\/strong>) focuses on HSLS-licensed TRANSFAC\/Match and Correlation Engine software. <\/p>\n<p>Participants will learn how to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>retrieve promoter sequence for a gene of interest using UCSC Genome browser<\/li>\n<li>locate transcription factor binding sites present in a query sequence using Match<\/li>\n<li>visualize the regulatory regions present in the human genome generated by the Encyclopedia of DNA Elements (ENCODE) project<\/li>\n<li>browse through epigenetic biochemical markers<\/li>\n<li>start with a GEO data set and find correlated studies using Correlation Engine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #7b6991\">Target Audience:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Experimental biologists studying epigenetic regulation on gene expression and interested in analyzing promoter and enhancer sequences.
