Take the survey

While the use of preprints has increased over the last years, preprint awareness and attitudes vary widely across research communities and among stakeholders in research communication. Stakeholders interact with preprints to varying degrees, via different channels and for different purposes; a better understanding of what benefits and concerns the different stakeholders associate with preprints is crucial in order to develop resources that best address the needs of different communities.

ASAPbio and the attendees of the #biopreprints2020 workshop are seeking your feedback on the perceived benefits and concerns around preprints. We would like to better understand how preprinting is seen across roles and research disciplines, and thus hope to get perspectives from a wide range of stakeholders involved in research communication including researchers, editors, publishers, librarians, publishers, institutional representatives and journalists. If you are involved in research and its communication in any capacity, we’d like to hear from you.

Please take this brief anonymous survey to share your views, and feel free to share it with others in your community. The survey will be open until July 15.

Responses will be shared publicly, aggregated across geographic, disciplinary, or professional categories. We will be using the survey results to inform future steps in relation to community engagement around preprints and to help us understand what preprint-related resources may be of most use for different stakeholders. Thanks in advance for your participation.
