This hands-on workshop will teach basic command line skills to (1) access the Center for Research Computing (CRC) high throughput computing cluster via the Unix shell, (2) create and manage directories, (3) edit files using text editor, (4) download FASTQ files using FTP and run FastQC software, and (5) access other CRC-installed open source bioinformatics software such as Bowtie, STAR, HISAT, and MACS.

You must sign up for a Center for Research Computing HPC allocation.
