This class will focus on LabArchives, the Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) selected by the University of Pittsburgh. We will cover how to get started using it, including planning strategies, access, lab notebook creation and organization, adding and editing entries, linking, and sharing data.

This class is designed for people who have a regular Pitt account as a University student, faculty, or staff member. Those without a Pitt account will not be able to participate in class exercises.

Access to your Pitt account is through Pitt Passport, which requires multifactor authentication (MA) when logging in. If you have already set up MA, bring your mobile device with the Duo app installed to class. If you haven’t set up MA, please do so before arriving at class and bring your mobile with Duo installed.
